The large-scale garden-themed installation project,

The (Secret) Garden, with a focus on social engagement.

In these times, when we are faced by challenges of dramatic scales, such as the climate crisis,
biodiversity loss, growing famines and more...,
I believe forging connections through paths of cheerfulness is a powerful survival and resistance tool.
This is what we can create together with my (secret) garden which will open in NYC in Fall 2024.
This is a social practice art project where we can create art pieces together in the garden themed installation with my collaborators.
This work will connect a diverse community in NYC and beyond.
The information about the project is here
To do this, I need your support to start planting the seeds for this garden of transformation. It takes a village to make a difference! Will you co-create this secret garden with me?

You would find the information at my Kickstarter page .
* The project campaign has funded by generous support!
The funding campaign has closed, but I would be appreciate your any amount of contributions!
If you have any questions, please contact me! I'd love to connect with you.

The Charity Exhibition for Earthquake & Tsunami Victims in Japan

Saturday, March 26, 2011

At 2:45p.m. on March 11th, 2011, an earthquake with magnitude 9.0 attacked Japan. Thirty minutes later, 13 meters (43 feet) high tsunami swiped a large part of northeast Japan and the wave took numbers of people’s lives. Today, we have lost 8,133 lives and there are 12,272 people still missing. The total damage of this disaster may cost more than $235 billion US dollars.

Victims have lost their families, friends, and homes. Now they live in shelters with limited water and food to survive and there is no heat to keep elders and children warm.

The devastation has made Japanese who live in New York City cry and think what we can do for Japan. Some Japanese artists based in New York City came up with the idea of doing a charity art show and donating all of the profits to earthquake and tsunami victims in Japan through the Japan Society in New York.

With the support of the National Academy, we are able to locate our charity show at the National Academy School student lounge, from March 30th to April 7th. The opening will be on Wednesday, March 30th, from 5:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. Many of National Academy faculties are going to contribute their wonderful art works. Please join us  to support Japan. ATTN : WE ONLY ACCEPT CHECKS FOR THE PURCHASE.
